The challenge
Avida International has offices across multiple markets. I joined as a marketing and branding intern in London in September 2022, and when the internship ended I was asked to stay on as Marketing Coordinator.
There was plenty to do: a dated website that didn’t reflect the quality of the company’s service, marketing guides scattered across teams, and a new software company, AIIGO, that needed a brand of its own.
What I did
I led a full website overhaul, working across multiple teams and stakeholders to build a site that’s intuitive and modern.
As part-time Chief Marketing Officer of AIIGO Software, an Avida subsidiary, from January 2023 to March 2024, I created the brand strategy, logo and website for the tech and software market.
I also built a six-month marketing plan around email campaigns and digital design, adapted our messaging for different markets and cultures, and pulled scattered internal guides into one set of resources. That’s the behind-the-scenes structure that lets a brand grow without losing its voice.
Along the way I met with leadership in person in Brussels, worked closely with the UK director for my final two years, and mentored new employees and interns.
“She quickly established herself as a respected member of the team, no mean feat with most of her colleagues having well over 25 years experience.”Bart Heenk, Managing Director, Avida International
The result
Avida described the new website as more intuitive and a much more modern representation of the business.
